It was such an honor to have recently received the Outstanding Moderator award, and the Heart of the Community award alongside SAGE, at this year's Golden Bishop’s Awards. The Golden Bishop’s recognize Ohio Wesleyan students, advisors, and organizations for outstanding achievements in leadership and community service. It was so special to be in a room filled with so many incredible campus leaders with whom I could share this special recognition with.
In this photo I am accepting the Outstanding Moderator award from Ohio Wesleyan University's President, Rock Jones. "This award recognizes an RA/Moderator who has worked to create an inclusive and engaged community within their hall or house. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a well-rounded approach to the position, academics, their personal life, and have contributed to the success of their residents. The award also recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their residential community through program development, addressing student needs, supporting peer and senior staff, and leadership within the community."

"This award is given to a member of our residential community who has gone above and beyond in connecting Bishops with one another. The award recognizes individuals who bring residents together as a community in and out of the residence halls and who have also initiated and participated in creative and engaging programmatic opportunities."
I could not be more grateful to have received this recognition of achievement from my university. Serving the campus as a SAGE member has been an endless gift, and it means the world to have that passion shared with values of the institution as well.
